On 17th November we held our Children in Need coffee morning in school, it was well attended by families and members of the community. As a school council we chose for children and staff to come to school dressed in spots and/or stripes, decorated biscuits and organised fun activities for children to do whilst the adults enjoyed their coffee and cakes.ran games. The PTFA helped providing coffees and cakes.

We raised a total of £166.85.

Our Charity for 2016-17 was

The total raised for the NSPCC  was £368.89 from our weekly tuck shop, photography commission, sale of old printer, craft stall at Christmas Fayre, stall at Summer Fete and donations for refreshments at the Christmas Play performance.

Our Charity for 2015-16 was

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary

We worked jointly with the School Councils from across the federation, Bradford and Bridgerule Schools raising funds for the charity. At Black Torrington we ran a tuck shop most Fridays selling healthy items we had made ourselves, we ran stalls at our Christmas Fayre, we held a pancake morning and a talent show. The total raised by us was £263.43.

Our Charity for 2014-2015 was

School in a Bag (SIAB)

This charity was chosen by the children. It is run by the Simon Piers Appeal raising money for displaced and underprivileged children. Providing them with all the items needed to go to school including stationary, pens, maths equipment, water bottles, sporks and torches, all inside a back pack.

The final amount raised was £347.83

This was enough for every child to be able to pack a bag.

The charity organisers and Holsworthy Rotary Club brought bags and items to school and helped the children to pack a bag each. We will be able to track the bags to find out where in the world they will go.
